Purple Tuesday at Xscape

Join us at Xscape as we celebrate Purple Tuesday, the global movement dedicated to improving the customer experience for disabled people and raising awareness of accessibility.

At Xscape, we do our best to ensure our shopping centre is accessible to everyone, and we are regularly audited so that our services are suitable for all our visitors to come and enjoy.

On Tuesday 4th November we’ll be supporting Purple Tuesday, the UK's accessible shopping day, and raising awareness of the accessible features and facilities available in our centre.

Our accessible services include:

Connect with us using British Sign Language (BSL)

SignLive is a Video Relay Service that allows our deaf and hard of hearing guests to connect with an online BSL Interpreter during opening hours. The BSL interpreter will talk to the member of staff you would like to connect with and sign their responses to you.

The service can be accessed by scanning our SignLive QR code at the Centre Management Office. You can also access SignLive via the app or a web browser. Please ask a member of staff if you’d like to use SignLive.

How we’re supporting Purple Tuesday this year…

This year we’ll be welcoming two incredible charities into our centre, Aphasia Support and Stroke Association, to help raise awareness of the after effects of stroke victims and what we can do to help. Visit the centre on Tuesday 4th November from 11am - 4pm to speak to the teams and find out more.

Xscape also hosts various activities for guests with SEN, including autism-friendly viewings at Vue, as well as SEN sessions at Gravity and The Gymnastics Academy.

Our Xscape team will also be available throughout the day to share more information on our in-centre services.
